	Kent Petanque Association 2009

Regional Qualifiers
• A series of 4 competitions around the county for teams of 3 or 4 to enter
• Points accumulated across the 4 competitions to create a ranking list with teams qualifying to play the
Inter-regional Championships at Brean Sands in September and also to represent the Region against
the Nord Maritime Region of Northern France

National Open League
• A new competition for 2009 and being played at venues throughout the UK but there should always be one within easy reach of Kent players.
• Each competition in the series is a standalone event with the result from around the country and through the year being pulled together to find the top 12 teams to
enter the playoff for entry into the Premier League next season. Play in one or play in many

Chairman's Cup
• This fun competition is available to all those who play in one or more, Regional
Qualifier and do not then go on to play at Brean.
• Held on a Saturday at the end of the season this provides an opportunity for an
enjoyable day's Petanque in a friendly, fun atmosphere.

	Kent Classic - August 2009 • The ever popular Kent Classic has now moved to a new date in the year and a new location. • Lordswood Sports Centre on the 21st & 22nd August • Make a note for your diary.


	Junior Academy • Aimed at developing the existing Juniors in the region and encouraging new young players to take up the sport. • A series of days through out the season at a variety of venues providing an introduction to the sport through a mixture of training and games • Run by qualified CRB-checked coaches
